Side Events and ExhibitsThe Third GEF Assembly represents an excellent opportunity for raising awareness of the challenges of managing the global environment. The GEF is organizing a program of side events and exhibits through which stakeholders can highlight their work and share their views and experiences on issues related to the global environment. Side events have been selected taking into account the following criteria: direct relevance to the GEF’s goals and objectives; partnerships among GEF stakeholders; illustrating on-the-ground experiences, lessons learned, and innovative approaches in addressing global environmental issues; and a balanced representation of sponsors, focal areas, regions, and themes.
