Seating Arrangements

Plenary

Seating arrangements in the plenary meeting room provide for one seat for the Representative and one for the Alternate from each participant country. Additional seating for up to two Advisors per delegation will be available in the plenary room. The proceedings of the plenary sessions will be transmitted by closed circuit television to areas outside the main auditorium.

Roundtables

Themes for the three high-level roundtables, each made up of approximately fifty-five heads of delegation and scheduled for the first day of the Assembly, will be agreed to by the GEF Council in June. In July, heads of delegation will receive more information on the roundtables, and will be asked to rank their preference of one roundtable in which they would like to participate. The GEF Secretariat will distribute Representatives equally among the three roundtables, taking into account to the extent possible preferences.
Limited room will be available at the roundtables for observers. The roundtables will also be transmitted by closed circuit television to other areas in the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
