Full-Sized ProjectsFull-Sized projects (FSP) are projects receiving more that one million dollars in GEF grants. FSPs must satisfy:
These projects go through each step of the GEF Project Cycle, first entering the GEF pipeline as project concepts. Proponents may, however, wish to avail of Project Development Facility (PDF) grants in the forms of Block A, to prepare the project concept, and B and C to further the development of the concept into an FSP. (Preparation guidelines for PDFs can be found below.) These projects are then submitted for Work Program inclusion and approved by the Council during its regular meetings or intersessionally by mail. Implementing Agency ProceduresProject proponents can submit their project concepts and/or Project Development Facility proposals to the appropriate Implementing Agency or Executing Agency. The latter, following its internal procedures, would then submit these proposals to the GEF Secretariat for approval.
