Meet Our New Staff

 

Meet Rawleston Moore

 

Rawleston has joined the GEF climate team. He will be a focal point for the SIDS as well as addressing issues related to adaptation, and doing outreach regarding the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Rawleston is a former representative of the Government of Barbados to the UNFCCC. Rawleston worked with the GEF-funded Caribbean Planning for Adaptation to Climate Change Project (CPACC) and assisted in the preparation of the GEF-funded Mainstreaming to Adaptation to Climate Change in the Caribbean.

In addition, Rawleston is a former lecturer at the Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies University of West Indies-Cave Hill Campus Barbados, with a number of publications on climate change. He has worked as a consultant for governments and international organizations on the issue of climate change.

 

Meet Henry Salazar

Henry has joined the GEF as the new Senior Country Relations Officer.


Before joining the GEF, Henry was the Inter-American Development Bank’s Technical Liaison with the GEF. Prior to this, he worked as Senior Researcher at the Alexander von Humboldt Biological Resources Research Institute in Colombia and was the Coordinator of the Project Appraisal and Management Component for the Colombian National Natural Parks Unit. In addition, Henry has worked as a director of sustainable development projects, advisor in governmental institutions, and professor at the Javeriana University in Bogota.

Henry holds a bachelor degree in Psychology and a master degree in Economics from the University of Los Andes in Bogota, as well as a master degree in Environmental and Resource Economics from University College London, United Kingdom.
