Joint Evaluation of the GEF Activity Cycle and ModalitiesThis evaluation aims to review experience in the programming and management of GEF support activities and recommend improvements. It will demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses in the cycle and modalities, analyze constraints, and provide recommendations to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of GEF operations and modalities. The key evaluative questions are:
The evaluation will be jointly undertaken by the GEF Evaluation Office and the Agency evaluation offices during 2006. The evaluation will also collaborate closely with the Agency GEF coordination and monitoring units, the Secretariat, and other partners.
